Lunada Bay Access |
| |
Extreme western tip of Palos Verdes penninsula. Paseo del Mar and Rocky Point Road. Steep trails down bluff to rocky shoreline and bay. If you don't live here, have someone drop you off or park far away. Unless you're a big guy and know martial arts, expect to be vibed or worse. |

Additional Surfing Infos |
| | If the bay is really breaking, it's best to have a decent size gun, or semi gun. It can get very big and powerful. Not a good spot for the inexperienced. Notoriously localised by a crew that all know each other. Keep a low profile, walk softly and carry a big stick. Park your car blocks away, or have someone stay with the car. If it's not too crowded there is the remote possibility that you'll catch a couple of waves, and not be verbally or physically assaulted!

Overview |
| |
Atmosphere |
It's a truly beautiful coastline along the entire area. Only breaks on the biggest winter swells, and is usually lush and green that time of year. Steep cliffs around the entire penninsula, and the trails down can be dangerous when wet. Multi- million dollar homes are the norm, and there are no facilities at any of the beaches. Rocky beaches without a grain of sand are also the norm in the area. |
| |
General |
It's a very scenic and peaceful place, if you don't take into consideration the selfish attitudes and antics of the locals. The wave can get epic, and will hold just about any size swell. It's really too bad a small group can ruin it for everyone. In this day and age even Hazards and Silver Strand have mellowed out. |
