Extreme western tip of Palos Verdes penninsula.
Paseo del Mar and Rocky Point Road.
Steep trails down bluff to rocky shoreline and bay. If you don't live here, have someone drop you off or park far away. Unless you're a big guy and know martial arts, expect to be vibed or worse.

 Additional Information

If the bay is really breaking, it's best to have a decent size gun, or semi gun. It can get very big and powerful. Not a good spot for the inexperienced. Notoriously localized by a crew that all know each other. Keep a low profile, walk softly and carry a big stick. Park your car blocks away, or have someone stay with the car.
If it's not too crowded there is the remote possibility that you'll catch a couple of waves,
and not be verbally or physically assaulted!

Atmosphere

It's a truly beautiful coastline along the entire area. Only breaks on the biggest winter swells, and is usually lush and green that time of year.
Steep cliffs around the entire penninsula, and the trails down can be dangerous when wet. Multi-
million dollar homes are the norm, and there are no facilities at any of the beaches. Rocky beaches without a grain of sand are also the norm in the area.

General

It's a very scenic and peaceful place, but it is important to respect the area. Don't litter or steal. The waves can get epic, and will hold just about any size swell. The locals are pretty cool, if they like you. Just watch yourself.. if you don't look familiar, you are sure to get hassled.

nightmare - First, you fall down the trail and ding your board and cut yourself and then you get caught inside by a huge wave and almost drown. Your leash breaks and your board breaks in half on the huge rocks. Then you get pushed into the huge rocks by the whitewater and get deep cuts on your hands from the sharp rocks and a hundred urchins in your feet. The place is scary.

Call of Nature - I evacuated my bowels on the trail. I left it for all to see.It was still there last time I looked.
