Atmosphere
These waters get very crowded and can be very dangerous. The area of take off is small and
everyone sits in the one spot to catch the wave. The take off can be steep and longboards are not recommended. It can be a heavy wave with heavy
locals. Experience is essential. Beginners forget it, check out Folkestone instead.

General
This spot no longer works, since they have stopped dreadging the entrance to the harbour a few years back there has been such a build up of sand that the wave can no longer break along the wall, it just dumps on the beach, shame as it used to be good, so there is now nowwhere to surf in Thanet on a south westerly.

Stoked - Best wave in the SE. had a great surf here today with some friends from London. The locals were cool and everyone got plenty of waves. Everyone should give this place a try, long clean rides to be had. Thanks to the locals for being so patient with me dropping in on a few of you.
