Um yeah
I can do nothing but give props to these guys for telling it like it is. Dude, its GEORGIA! Have fun while you're here, cause if youre worth a shit, you're leaving eventually. And to those of you who walk around sporting the gear, using the lingo and harassing beginners, thanks once again for the laughs and making me feel better about myself.

Tybee rocks.....until you get good.
The last post is dead on. I grew up on Tybee. Learned to surf there too. Tybee gets lots of different conditions during the year and provides experiences you can use worldwide. However, the swell isn’t there enough so surf time is limited and, of course, this creates demand/localism. Just visited in Oct 06 and found pretty much the same scene I left 7 years ago. A few good surfers who are out there having a good time mixed with the frustrated numbnuts screaming at folks as they chop hop to the beach. Lame. You know who you are dork in light blue wetsuit. Kook. Sure, go back to Buckhead and tell the all your boyfriends you rip but deep down, you know (and so does every other true surfer) you are just a poser KOOK. Aloha to all the ‘real Tybeeites’ (even if you gotta live on Wilmington). Keep having your fun and sharing what you have. Get your asses out into the world. You will be surprised how well Tybee has taught you.
