  Atmosphere In the summer there are some tourist surfers but anytime else it's almost completely local. Just don't be a jerk and the locals will welcome you gladly.
  General I think its a great fun wave.

Yeah, I've had some good days there. But not a regional classic by any means. If you're using this site to find good surf in Jersey and you end up at LL, you've made some serious miscaculations...

lava is a great wave when theres a swell big enough to run the summer kooks out of the water. Rest of the year can be great, but also can be pure shit. Prob has the most consistent breaks in NJ...but thats not saying too much...the old local longboarders are chill, give them their waves and youll be alright.
