Park your car in the parking lot. If you are not a local I suggest you park far away. Be careful if it's a strong NW swell and you are trying to get into shore. Smaller days are real fun, but with some size, watch out.
Overview
Atmosphere
Beautiful and one of the best waves in Nor cal. Very rocky, but one of the funnest right reef breaks around.
General
I love this spot. Even though I live in So cal now, this is still one of my favorite waves around. Don't piss the locals off and don't tell your friends and you should be ok. Have respect and you will get respected. Only surf here if you are experienced.
Great spot if you're willing to take off directly in front of dry rocks. Otherwise, it doesn't matter how good you are because that's the only way to catch a wave at this spot if there's more than about 2 or 3 other people out. Also, it holds a little bit of size but I think it's a soft wave compared to some of the other breaks in Mendo and Sonoma. Also, bring a machete because the kelp gets out of control and can ruin your chances for making it into the rare wave that isn't already claimed by someone else. Beautiful spot though and the locals will be mellow if you are (but again, you won't catch any waves if they are out--your best bet is to watch from the beach until they head in and then surf it alone or with other visitors who are less knowledgable and agressive in their takeoff tactics here).

That's Miss camel toes; ur wishing it was 2!
C'mon people, can't we all just get along? Why give lame titles to spots in the outlands? This 1 is actually just called "Sonoma Coast State Beach Park" @Seaview community off the Myers grade road & PCH. Spread the word by sky-writing the spot if u want, since this place is consistent enough to handle virtually ANY size crowds year 'round!

Dreamlike setting
This place is so incredibly beautiful! Please don't divulge any more info about where it is. The last thing a place like this needs is a crowd. One of the best things about Mystos is how far away from everything it is...oh yeah, and the world class right is cool too. Even if the surf is flat, which it is most of the time, it's just an awsome place to go and spend the day on the coast with your wife/girlfriend or dog (who ever you love the most)So if you are lucky enough to find it, bring your thickest suit,(you will need it)a good vibe, and enjoy the very best the sonoma coast has to offer.
