 Additional Information

Beach-break in San diego...Mission is not known for it's great surf, as during nice weather its insanely crowded and annoying. If there are crossed up swells you can find some good peaks but usually it just walls up and closes out on you. (the beach faces due west) It can hold decent size and can surprise you once in awhile. Overall Mission should be just a "Plan B" if your choice break isn't firing. It's a fun break just to get in the water, but don't go there expecting too much.

Atmosphere

In the winter, it can hold some decent swell and can be a good break. Most times, however its just an average beach break full of close-outs and mediocre waves. Sometimes its great, but those times are few and far between

Taktak khin dudes! - I first body board in Mission Beach. Amazing session. Regarding my friends, sometimes you could see dolphins!

small surf dominates - totally correct on the post by blake and its true about the lack of power there. the liquid foundation surf shop is a breeding cess pool of ex tweaker coke heads pushing the up and commer youngsters into the ranks of the "nate" total looser fool the place is a complete joke..they all ride bikes and have no cars...oh and cant surf either...ob local blow them away...

mission tourism surf - Mission beach the most crowded place in california
a small gutless wave all year long about 2ft and windy beachbreak
perfect for 1st time surfers
ass 5 surfschools pack hundreds into the lineup
north you have LF locals claiming pismo ct and santa clara area wave an old surfshop whos owner totally blew it when he had a chance on operating a surfschool on the sand they worship 2 guys from fla came in and are killing it daily making thousands monthly, on there spot so theres mad haters claiming this shop. but the worst part is none of them can surf too well avoid santa clara or have tattoed tweaker looking guys giving attituide..
