Additional Surfing Infos
Easy to surf, popular beach, mix of all types of people. No localism or heavy vibe. No real hazards except for the occasional collision from overcrowding. Breaks all down the beach from about 4th Street in the south to 25th street in the north - if one area is too crowded, move to the next peak. Usually fairly flat-faced, however, on good days it gets hollow, and on near perfect days I've surfed the Endless Lefthander, a hollow wave that peaks around 11th Street and carries all the way to 15th. This rarely occurs, unfortunately.
  Overview
Atmosphere Bad Wave, Lefts are better than rights. Breaks fast and is walled most of the time.
General If 15th is good then every other break is going off! Dont waste your time here.

First night session
This was the first time i really stayed in the water after dark and got to see the stars shinning above while i waited for my waves. For those out there that have never been in the ocean at night i would suggest surfing in the evening as a way to exp

Old men on logs
What would be a fun wave is ruined by old men on logs. However, the one saving grace is these turds go away once the place gets overhead, but by then somewhere else nearby is probably better...

WTF?
Whats up with all these people talking shit about 15th street. It can get really good, and if it's not good there go down or up a few streets. Ive been surfing here consistently for 5 or 6 years and before that TP. Even as I got better at surfing I realized that 15th street is not the only spot around. So people saying it's all mushy and stuff how about you become observant and look at 13th street that place is steep and usually has good form. If that doesn't seem crazy enough for you, then go south to 8th street. The reef there is pretty shallow and produces some gnarly slabs if you go to it on good days. But the reality of it is that 15th streets is sorta like the center piece, it's the most consistent and is easy to get to. In my opinion 15th street is one of the best long boarding spots in SoCal. It's so big too! If one peak is crowded go to the next. The vibes there are really cool too. Everyone is really friendly and wants to have fun. Everyonce in awhile youll get some really annoying groms in the line up. But I just paddle away from them. Another thing, it's funny how organized 15th is, the little grom nursery is right in front of the big lawn on the inside. The main Peak for 15th shifts arond but it usually is right in front of the storm drain. Plus it's really easy to get out in the line up, because the sand stone reef has this formation, "The Hole", which is deep water really close into shore which causes very little wave action. Overall I think it was a good decision to say this spot is a regional classic.

Fun but crowded, go to 11th instead
I've been surfing this spot for around 5 years now and love it. Its close and the waves are usually decent, although thats different during the summer. During the summer it gets crowded and there are waaay too many beginners, go down 4 streets instead to 11th, its the break right near the sewage pipe, you'll usually see the regulars out there
