Focene is on the left of Coccia de Morto street of Fiumicino, look for the beachbar BARAONDA the peak is there.
The spot is very close to the rome international airport at fiumicino, 20 minutes from the centre.
Focene is next to airport Fiumicino, folow signs Fiumicino and then go in direction of Focene. There several entrances to the beach but you can ask someone in the street which beach you need to go to. I believe it's the fifth but I'm not sure.
new surfer
Hello, I just moved to live in Fiumicino and I want to start surfing. It seems from this website that the closest surfing spot is Focene; can somebody tell me a place here in fiumicino or close where to find all I need to surf (table, induments..) and where I can find good surfers (maybe a surfing tribe)to learn with and from and to live a surf live with??

Focene
I usually surf in Focone, sometimes really nice waves for a beach break, but very crowded, lots of stupid localism and the water is really fuckin' shitty brown...bye

to robin
Robin, this place sucks badly for water quality...Sometimes (not too often) there are nice waves, ultracrowded during weekends (as all the spot in Lazio)Anyways there are other spots in Focene like "Prima Insenatura" or "Lido" or "Lido del Carabiniere" and Focene is 5 mins from Fiumicino (Coccia de Morto Spot), 10 minutes from Ostia and half an hour for well known (at least here in Italy) Santa Marinella (several nice spots on rock bottom!)
