In the north west of Italy, near the city of Savona. there's a small town called Vado Ligure, the spot is just in front of the rivermouth and you can see it driving along the road.

| | The wave is not so good. locals are very friendly, they love tourists and it's really a pleasure to share some wave with them. the water is warm all year around, the best spot in the area for winter surf due to the water temperature. there're no problems with parking. The area doesn't offer much more than waves, but is a perfect spot for beginners who don't like crowd. go and have fun!

GL says : Tha wave is shit and locals suck!
Not a great wave, only a sloppy movement of "warm" water. Pay attention: locals are very unfriendly. when the swell is on there are a lot of better place to surf in the area!
Hard localism and pollution for a sloppy shit wave... do I say more?! |

The spot is very easy to find, exit highway at Savona and reach little town of Vado, then park your car just in front of the wave. the name "acque calde" (warm waters) is just for the warm water coming from the power-station that heats the sea all year long. Brrrrr!
Local surfers' level is not so high, but they don't realize.. as usual in Italy.
