This region is underated even by most of the french surfers. It has everything you want: beach breaks, point breaks, reefs, outer reefs. The most famous wave is La Sauzaie but it's just overcrowded.
I am a beginner and need to rent board/wetsuit. This beach is beautiful and really a fun place to surf. Plus there is Koa Surf School which is an awesome place to rent equipment from and hang out for the day. I had a wonderful surf day here.

This beach has a surf rental spot called Inside Surf School. It is better equipped for body boarders then for surfers as most of the boards are foam and they do not havea good range of wetsuits (no S!)

Im very sad to see our department, part of historical brittany, in "vendée".
as a matter of fact "Loire-Atlantique" (44) is not Vendée (85)
Ayrshire in scotland is not in northumberland (england)!
