We did surf it !!!
In 1998 me and 5 friends of mine surfed this have. It's a very easy a nice wave to surf, specially for surfers and long borders. The have breaks over a rock reef which makes all look the same. Althought there a few other problems: (i)It's not that is to get there, 30 minutes to get there by a long walk and 45 minutes to get to the top (ii) the bay on the other side it's called the shark bay... (longborders don't miss it).

Pretty easy to spot
You will see the spot looking down from a paved scenery-spot about 5km south of Ribeira Grande. I didn't surf it, it looked really nice though when I was there and Ribeira Grande was too messy.
