HORRIBLE. I'm living in the area for few months. Each swell you've at less 30 fucking american surfers in a 15m2 peack, they don't care about the surfing rules, everytimes they come back seatting at the peak before you...try to say something they will say fuck you, but with the smile please. Today it's impossible to take pleasure on this wave. Also it's a reallity that it's working for 5% like the worst event of surfing history. Thanks Rip C. to promote tourism....to destroy paradise...to destroy everything here...

was there in july, great fun spot. always barrels on takeoff, with a rippable but fat wall that occasionally barrels. Nothing like the rip curl search tho. We left 10 foot Puerto Escondido on a rising swell to get Barra at an inconsistent 3 foot. To get it like rip curl the locals say u need a few days of huge rain to open up the rivermouth and push the sand so it lines up the point and then add a huge swell, ie puerto 12ft+
