You will have to park your car at the side of a highway that goes from Jaco to Hermosa and climb a cliff to get to the spot. If you leave anything inside the car it WILL be stolen. I am saying that from own experience.
Overview
Atmosphere
General
In rising tides this wave may have a very nice formation. However, Perro Fino's powerful wave and sharp rocks in the bottom make it a dangerous spot. This is not a place you want to surf alone, specially if you have never been there before. Dont be deceived by the sometimes large interval between sets. You don't want to be caught in the impact zone and be dragged toward the rocks.
No se
I never saw anybody surfing there, but its nice to look at from the cliff when driving between Jaco and Hermosa. In reality there are so many other better places which are easier to get to. I don't really think it's worth it to fuck around on that cliff and those rocks but whatev's

X local.. It's called El Gato..The cat
Never heard it called "fine dog" in all my years I was there.Only breaks on a major swell and even then it's not that good compared to other spots.Have seen people get in serious trouble on big swells when current grabs you and sweeps you to the south,no man's land, almost nowhere to get out on shoreline, lots of sharp rocks,so your pretty much fucked.Better to just surf it's next door neighbor... Crazy rock.

Very strong wave. Itīs better if you get in with someone who knows the spot. If the swell is overhead you better watch out for that big rock in the middle. But itīs a really good wave after all.
