CR in January
I was on the Caribbean side last January and scored big. Now I would like to hit the SW coast. I know the offshores whip hard that time of year and there is a shortage of swell. What is the possibility of lucking out in the winter?

consistency
i was in CR last year in august and september and it was very consistent.believe the stormrider.i was 10 days in the north:every day overhead or more.every day no wind or offshore, sometimes a liittle onshore...in this time of the year i think you can surf every day.and waveperiods are so long.you sit there 10minutes its flat and then an 6feet set is coming in.CR rocks!

Camping In CR
Hi, I have been in CR for a year. Other than the turtle farm south of the tree but not as far as esterillos, I would not camp on that coast in CR, especially if alone. I have had my car broken into 3 times at hermosa. The turtle farm takes volunteers and has covered/outside accomodation but would be mush safer.
