I'm not local but... - I'm from Uruguay. There are some stupid locals I know, but not us much as in other places. If you respect the rules nobody will bother you.

Locals locals everywhere.... - "Beware the locals everywhere" you might as well say. These days just about everyplace in the world you find a wave, you find some stupid group of 'locals' ruining it. I remember a time place like Mexico, Uruguay, Samoa, had no local surfers. So here were are hardly 28 weeks later and new breeds of insecure 'locals' have sprung up in every corner of the surfing world to ruin what was once a sport better suited for true individuals. Now all the surfers pack together and form stupid local blocs. You all La Boya locals suck and can stay in your shit-colored surf.

Locals' spot - When the swell pumps, be aware of the locals. They are friendly as long as you respect them. Take-off zone is restricted to a few meters wide. Stay on the shoulder, watch and wait for your turn. Otherwise, the lawyer will rip you off.
