get real - I've been riding for years, people say weekend warriors shouldnt show up and if you dont know how to surf stay home, I'm confused, how do people learn if they dont go, but I suppose that some people fell out their mommas but on a surfboard. but then again what is some punk kid with a goofy haircut gonna do anyway.

- I was riding the lift the other day snowboarding, and this dude was claiming Fort Canby does break, and he surfs it, I came on here to see if there was any chatter.

- I have been surfing all over the world. I have lived on the Long Beach Peninsula for about 15 years. I have often wonderd why the waves at this location and others on this same strech of beach don't break worth crap. In all of the years I have lived there, I have only seen one person catch what any true surfer would call a wave, not just floating in on the white water. There is no surf at Fort Canby Beach or any other beach on Peninsula. If you are going to claim to have a surf location web site you better make sure there is some god damn surf there first. One more thing, for all you weekend warriors, just because you drive to the beach with your 6'2" pintail that you bought at a garage sell does not mean you are a surfer. Find another way to try and get laid, or the surfing gods will strick you down.

- I saw this place on a post card and it looked like it had some potential.
