overblown - Totally blown out and still crowded. Always waist high mush, short period slop. I got stung pretty bad, too. At least the really long paddle was some exercise. Might as well stay home and drink beer.

This spot is LAME - Why are we even talking about this lame spot?? Onshore and crappy. It's the only spot on the eastside and it's way overrated. The whole eastside sucks!!

Beautiful Goat Island + the Nudity - Not only surfing, but great picnic & snorkling and every so often some nudity from some of the locals & local students.

"Goats" - I surfed Goats this passed weekend 8-26-06. Bra.... windy, chopped, @#%&* tides, portagee man of war, fo-shure shark sightings, only da regulas surfin da spot. If you like some good surf stick to Pipe, Rockies, or Ala Moana. No wase yo time.

Leave Goats to da boyz - This aint no spot for the casual surfer. I seen guys get dropped onto dry reef on big days and the sharks are there. They close that beach off a couple times a year because of sharks.

There are some bad currents as well that like to pull you into the impact zone and that dry reef I mentioned. This wave should only be attempted on a decent size day by someone who knows the spot.

goats - Awesome fish wave when small. I snapped my tufflite longboard there on a head high day. John Mozo got attacked by a shark here. Sketch-o's like to congregate in the parking lot and when it's good everybody knows it (crowds).

Goats, Middles, Boilers, Temples - All great breaks, but mostly blown out because of the prevailing trade winds. If you smelled the cackle farm, it was a good day (kona's). Surfed here for 2 1/2 years with the old Wavesliders Club at BYUH. Aloha.

LAIE IS A GREAT PLACE TO SURF! - Uncrowded and far paddles make this place a great place to surf. No weekend warriors because they aren't used to the workout. on big days reminds me of teahupo and tavarua. The only bad thing is the lefts. Great to practice your backhand but heaven if your goofy. Try to take off deep because the barrel is makeable.remember no fear!

Love the spot - That is a bad picture of the spot, the break is on the other side of te island. I'll take better pictures for you when I go back home.

- Goats and Boilers go off, two of the meatier lefts on the eastside. get barreled or donate skin to the reef
