Additional Surfing Infos
Best to surf it right by one of the creeks that flow into the ocean. There is also a nice break about half a mile to the left of the parking lot.
  Overview
Atmosphere Good on a mid-size or small day. When there is a storm, things just get out of control there.
General Really consistent during fall, winter, and spring. Just takes an hour to get to it.

Where should i go?
I live in Kihei Hawaii but am in Anchorage AK for the rest of summer. Where can i pick up the gear i need to get in this water and then where should i go? Also if theres any groups of guys that do small summer surf trips in the area and are looking for a warm water guy to make fun of.

crazy people
You guys are all crazy. I live in Hawaii and surf the north shore, and after looking at some of the pictures of guys surfing with the beach covered in snow. I know that you guys are alot crazier then anybody i have ever met! i respect all you guys.

Swell Direction information?
Is there anyone out there who can give me relatively reliable stats on swell direction by month/season for Alaska? Or simply point me to a good web resource? I've looked pretty hard, I think. I realize that Kodiak is an anomaly, as it gets a lot of E and SE wrap (which I must admit I have a hard time grasping, as much of the Spring/Winter/Fall swell energy must come from Kamchatka-way or the Aleutians).
