bucks - been here loads times when the tide wind and swell were meant to be correct, it never works, its such a random wave. my friend surfed it and said its an okay wave but its really fat and slow

Spekes - Surfed it way back in 1984. I had bnly been surfing 3 0r 4 years and I bricked it because of the paddle. I live in west cornwall now so its a long way to go, but one day!!!

Cheese - It smells a tad like cheese there... not too fond of it. However on a pumping n/e/w/s swell its really works especially with a large e/w on/off shore force 12 gale. Peace out...

wannasurf- you can look but don't touch - Thing is, I reckon the hoax idea is flawed-either way it'll attract people to the area and help crowd out the next nearest known/decent spots once people realise there ain't no fun to be had here....

the stormrider has done its little bit, and thats about enough I reckon. Any more than that and its a bit like having your arse wiped for you...

I dunno about anyone else but I just check this site every now and then to see if the semi-secret spots I like in various parts of the N. Coast are being sold to the masses, like so many others here.

They're not super secret or anything ( in fact there's usually at least SOMEone around at most if its good), but I would never mention them on a website, just 'cause I don't really want to be part of making my next session, or anyone else's, more crowded.

Also some places are too fragile environmentally to sustain loads of traffic that you get at some easy-access beaches, esp. the ones without proper road access and nowhere to leave a car without parking in the hedge (imagine if you got the number of surfers down here that you do in croyde!)

mart - Mart,
I grew up within spitting distance of Bucks and if this qualifies me to say it truely is a crap wave then it truely is a crap wave.
I guess i do know the area.
Cheers.

Hook, line and stinker - You got it big fella - everyone should find spots out for themselves. But, in this case, is it a spot or isn't it? Go up there and find out. If there's a spot, you scored. If there isn't then maybe you'll think twice about getting your info from places like this in future.

who's programme? - here's the programme: people should learn to figure spots out for themselves.

- Must be no surf, hence the bickering!!
