- Of course.... You woulg have been there. How silly of me.

By janimal , 07-12-2006

no you didn't - you did not paddle out here at 10-15. the biggest i've ever seen it is 6-8, and millook was well over 15 foot that day. dream on. by the way, it was on the other day. milook was maxed out 12, and this place was barely 4 foot. classy though.

I workered at Crackers for two summers... - ... and as September hit, I saw this wave break a few times. Paddled out once with it breaking around 10-15... Caught one, ripped the shit out of the bottom of my ski on the bottom turn, fled the barrel and paddled in! It needs riding this place. It breaks more than people give it credit for though.

ah janimal you wise man - i'm from oz,just looking at afew spots here.i feel for you though you at least have the sense to get away from these crap excuses for waves.in case you get here the south coast of oz is well worth a look

sam - actually it pretty much faces north of north east on the slab. check the map. also it has to wrap loads. btw i'm 35, been surfin since age 11. old enough to realise step one of scoring epic waves everyday is to leave europe.....

west facing? - where it breaks it faces more southwest like ivies, boss etc.and it will break outback first thats y it needs more swell.

By simon , 01-04-2005

tremoutha - this place does take quite alot of swell to work but in the winter when newquay is getting a betting like 15ft and stormy/choppy this place will be on if the winds are right.

janimal, question for u - how come it takes so much swell 2 work? coz it pretty much faces west doesnt it? and cracks picks up a fair bit of swell. just wondering, coz it sounds like it takes a fair bit of swell 2 work. that may even be an understatement! how old r ya btw? sounds like u hav surfed a fair few spots. which of the ones on this site r fake? coz sumone was saying a fair few r.
cheers mate, speak soon. if janimal doesnt read this by a month or so, sumone else cud answer.....
