Always something to surf here. The beach is large and has several points of access. A lot of peaks up and down the beach, so look for whatever is working when you're there.

Good waves on S end at low tide beside lighthouse when rest of coast is too big (8ft+). Useful channel to the left.
General
Valdoviño is one of the most dangerous beachs in the region due to REALLY BAD RIPS.(when over 5ft) You may find yourself taking a tour up the Galician coastline if you surf the N end. Headland, past hotel up the coast offers excellent view of unsurfable right hander. Have seen it at 8 metres. Biggest wave I have ever seen!!! Have seen N end of beach 12ft+ and S end beside lighthouse is a nice 4ft. THE place to go when its huge(nearly all the time in Winter)
Good Waves!
I surfed in valdovino beach during pantinclassic 2004. Long, long beach (almost 2 miles!) with a lot peaks!. I surfed alone most of the time! hehehe. Next year I hope to go on travel a couple of weeks! C ya in the tube!

good waves
I've been surfing there this summer and really good waves! There're only 3 or 4 locals! and you can surf alone till 11:30 in the morning! I don't know how people talk about doninos and pantin, Valdovino is better and uncrowed. In the morning and in the afternoon is always offshore that makes a lot of tubes! See you in Valdovino next summer!
