during the week if you get a good swell, you can find it difficult to even get parking nevermind find an adequate spot in the line up. doughmore's popularity amongst pro and intermediate surfers has boomed in the last year, beginners should venture to spanish point as the rips in doughmore could take you to america,sets are unpredictable as you could find yourself working a handy 4 footer in a matter of minutes, the waves can dump on you double overhead. also beware of the potholing as local farmers have no problems in digging tons of sand from the banks and leaving huge gaps and shifting sandbars.
