It was some friends and me who named this place "Lopette Beach" because when we were young, a lot of gay people came there and made 69... And know, I can read on this world internet site this name!!!!! I very happy to look that THANK You every body, because it was just for fun!! and know it's Internationnal!!! It's true, the first name was "Gaz CHAMBER" (because it's smell a lot when the wind come from NE.)

no title - i often surfed this spot in 1985/86! when i lived in Aytre! at the time we called it "gas Chamber". nothing to compare with the hawaian spot! but it sometimes works and it sometimes work very good!! it is , then, a real right point break , small but long!
perfect for learning or training. it can peel for 100 meters with the rignt conditions (swell must be at least 4 meters , from the west, with no or east winds and 2 hours before and after high tide.

Ajajajajajaj - I live there. It's more a windsurfing spot. The place is awful : the water is the color of shit, the waves (if any) are less than sloppy : foamy, gutless, etc... It needs STRONG swells and off-shore winds to make something acceptable. You'd better go to Ile d'Oléron or Vendée to find good waves.
