its a nice spot because not so crowded as socorro and bajamar but it has a closeout very often...nice spot with a nice view on the nature of north tenerife...in winter i saw there unsurfable big swells with as always agressive waves...in summer just a nice spot...sometimes strong current...cheers

Los patos can be a really fun beach, but when there is a heavy swell it will not hold, it gets very dumpy and the whole beach closes out befoe you can even get on ur board. It may seem to be a bit of a mission to get there but its not so bad, at the moment it is very easy because the sand has covered alot of rocks and built up around a cliff that usually can be a bit dodgy to get round on high tide. its around a 45 min walk from Puerto De La Cruz and a 10 min drive + 20 min walk. go past boyuyo beach and thru the bannanas from there jus follow the path. I rekomend going with a mate to help get the boards down one section also its quite remote, 70% of the time u will be the only ones around. its also a nude beach so dont be suprised to stumble across a few bare bodys evry now n then, beware of the naked dudes faffin around in the surf tho........ If ur stayin in Puerto n gaggin for a surf n theres no waves on Martianez or Jardin check out Los Patos it catches far more swell. Its best to walk the length of the beach checkin out all the paeks before gettin in cuz there can be a vast range of waves there. Always respect the locals! It does get hollow but very very rearly! if u want info on surf on Tenerife drop me a line, my next trip will be Furte Ventura abt mid April so if uv got any tips plzzz tell. los patos means the ducks..... Enjoy

Very difficult access
The access is very difficult. You only can arrive with car to a zone arround km away the beach. You have to walk by one beach (without waves) and then you have to scale some rocks to arrive to a rocky path. Yu have to walk arround a rocky mountain just to the beach. good luck!
