this place can kick you ass - when it gets really big,the outside gets heavy, hollow and fast, serious wipeouts & holddowns.
Great fun seeing the wannabees getting worked !
Love it !

- This is a fun wave. If a huge swell hits-head here (with everybody else) easy peeling slow wave.Lots of fun and games sharing waves. An easy introduction to surfing bigger waves.

Hot Sh!t - Just come back from a great surf holiday in Fuerte. Had a few good days at Cotillo & Majanicho. The surf grew to epic proportions, and Rocky Point was the place to be (judging by the distinct absence of surfers on the North Track). Surfed the outside at 8ft+ in the morning, and surfed the inside at 4-6ft in the afternoon. Bit crowded, but there were no hassles and barely any drop-ins. Stayed like it for the next dew days, then a nice glassy sesh at Cotillo before flying home. Awesome

- the outside is a sick wave when it works. the best way to paddle out is from the end of the harbour wall - a bit of a hairy mission dodging ferries and the like but better than walking the length of the bay and over the uber sharp rocks. caught a couple of huge rights there but they didnt have much shape to them, just a fat lump really. in three months in corallejo it worked about twice

- You have to change picture!
People go to wrong place, that's a fucking long walk that means nothing. Flagbeach is not god at all!

Wrong pic! - As usual the picture is wrong... that is flag beach, NOT Rocky point!

dream spot - In february 2004 a big storm hit the coast of Fuerteventura. There have been heavvy rains and also a desert sand storm. (I had to drive whith car ligts turned on at. 16,00 p.m.). Televisione forecast reported "olas de 6 metros". You coldn't surf many spot, but Rocky Point was really a dream whith enormous and endless right waves wich I surfed with my 9.5 longboard.
The waves were powerfull, but full of grace, regular, predictable, in one word perfetc.
I wish to surf another time like that in my life.

Rocky Point Outside, be carefull - Very Powerfull wave. If you get over the lip at the take-off zone you might find yourself at the rocky bottom got hold down by the wave. A friend broke his longboard there into half. Over 3m can get tubey and devastating.
