Great beach to surf lots of fun. I have been there when it was going off just before a tropical storm and been there in the spring catching the last cold fronts. Do bring a board to Cancun. Not your favriot board just a 6'0 or fish you will be set and if you dont love the board. Sell it the locals they could use it. There are some good surfers from the Area. One in fact that all the locals know is "Jamican". He is from Cancun grow up on a Bogy and moved into a surf board. He might still ride for Squalo. Look Mexico has great surf. Cancun is cheap there is almost always something to ride (waves, girls, waverunners, girls). Just be safe. wrap it up over there.

Cancun
I holidayed twice in Cancun in November 2004 and November 2003 and managed to surf most days. The first time I didn't even think to take a board, thinking there'd be no surf, but we headed to Dolphin Beach, Playa Delphines (which is on the way off the peninsula, just past the Hilton) just to sunbath one day, and there were about 20 surfers in the water. There's a little surf hut on the beach where I hired a battered shortboard each day. It was a bit of a rip-off to hire, you'd be better going out without a board and buying yourself a new skualo board for about $200-$250 (which I wish I'd done on the second time I went since Mytravel airways smashed up my board on the way back). Anyway, if you're going away for a beach holiday with the missus to Cancun take a board and head for Playa Delphines, it's not brilliant but its fairly consistent in November and warmer than the Atlantic off the UK any time of year.
