Additional Surfing Infos
Lamberts is a fast beach break. The swell comes in hits each sand bar at low and high tide and makes steep fast little hollow waves. Normally closes out quite often, just have to be really patient to wait for the peaks.

It can hold up to 6ft and is best before and after high and low tides.

High tide has a death shorey with double ups and thick lips, ideal for bodyboarding. Surfers tend to avoid high tide at all costs, they know better than to break their surfboards. Low tide is usually very crowded, especially after work and on weekends.

It used to be a sick spot about 15 years ago when the locals only knew about this place, then the banks changed after numerous cyclone swells. It became super crowded in the late 90's with lots of blow ins and townies, and so the atmosphere dropped somewhat after those people didn't respect the locals and the pecking order vanished.

If you don't know how to bottom turn and pull into the barrel you will get lipped in the head.
  Overview
  Atmosphere
General This is a great wave for bodyboarders as it teaches you very quickly how to bottom turn, trim and how to approach the lip. Surfers prefer low tide where the waves have more of a wall, rather than thick barrels. Not very makeable at all, but still loads of fun. Not a good place to become a better rider though as it closes out way too much. If you can't handle the quick drops, steep barrels and thick lips, go to the softer spots like North Wall, Blacks Beach and the Harbour.

What the hell does "scooping into" the barrel mean? Oh, you mean pulling in? Come to the South Coast of NSW boys and get some real waves!

re: anonymous/hamsy
Are you talking about Joel the blonde haired, big buff swimmer dude who used to go to North High School? Yeah I knew him but he only surfed Lamberts a few times. I surfed with his mate Tony a lot more.
