Jewey Bay - If you have lived in this area long enough, say 40 years, it is actually spelt dewy bay.

Jewie cranks!!! - Jewie centre reef can only handle up to 4 ft at best with a south swell an hour either side of high tide. Can be a closeout if sand covers the end section of the reef or if swell has a touch of north in it. Great wave, one of the favs of local grommies. The right down the south end can also crank out long tubing rights when sand lines the rocks. Watch out for victim rock at the end of the wave- many a grommie has come unstuck here.
