2 hours driving from Bangkok to Rayong ( east coast ) then half an hour to Ban Phe ( village ) pier , after half an hour boat to Samet Island, finally 1/4 hour by shared taxi ( songtaew ) to East coast beaches ( samet is a natural reserve park , entrance fee is 200 THB , approx 5 USD ) |

White sand , crystal water, beautiful landscape.
Small waves ( max.4/5 feet ), but quite Ok. better for Bodyboarders.

cheap accomodation and food, nice people, a lotof foreigners. |

this spot works only during dry season when swell orientation is E / SE.
do not expect a high quality surf but for the beauty of water, it is worth to try.
