Metebulu, the village chief at Watukerere was murdered. Trying to own a wave and a beach for that matter is ugly business. For all the charity Claude gives, he seems to think the locals are unfit to run their own guest houses. He has a monopoly on tourism, and therefore the largest tax payer on the island....ehhhem he has the backing of the authorities. Many horror stories surround this place. Best not to support Claude.

Not even 5 star and you charge $350+ a night. This wave isn't restaurants nor Cloudbreak. Who do you think you are claiming wave rights in Indo? Maybe we should pay off cerain people and have them run you off as you have to others. Greedy people like you make me sick!
