Keramas Beach Access
Just go through the new road that was made in sanur, and you will see a Keramas sign.

Head north... It is on the same side as Sanur, Nusa dua etc... Near Ketewel.. could quite possibly be on the same strech of beach as I never surfed Ketewel but I have a feeling they are pretty close as there is a series of four breaks near each other. There is a little blue sign on the right hand side of the road with keramus in yellow writing that heads down a dirt track... Rather hard to find.

Additional Surfing Infos
Just surf normaly, and take off faster than usual.

This is what would traditionally be a beach break.. the best place to line yourself up with is the single coconut tree left of the river mouth as you look to the beach from the surf, really nice sucky wave that seems to break over a reef very close to shore... only seemed to work on the high and mid tide break there are another three breaches within walking distance that break when this is not. You’ll go down a dirt road come to a dirt car park and walk onto the breach you’ll see a crowded break to the left and only a couple of people out to the right... This is keramus I found it to be an awesome break but given that its very far up the island you need a large swell to be moving through.
  Overview
Atmosphere This spot has got the best wave and so relaxing.

Seemed to be no locals.. surfed here three days in a row and each time the minimal crowd was different... I also seemed to be the only European out each time. A fun wave that seems great for developing your lip tricks.. Nice strong take off and mellows out to a close out on the inside.
General I think this spot is soooo fucking good, ultra sick, it's one of the world class waves in bali.

This and Nusa dua are the two spots i surfed the most when in Bali over the new year period... both were uncrowded, friendly and an awesome wave.

Keramas is a fantastic wave, pretty much has everything; workable wall, hollow tube sections and is loooong. to those who critisise the local guys, get a grip. these people live here and are doing all they can to make a living for themselves by taking out surfers from all over the world - not just japan. to suggest that all the balinese surfers are 'Fucked' is moronic and short sighted and typical of every explotative westerner that has lived in bali 'for the last 10 years' if you dont like the way the local guys behave - fuck off back home. get your head around it.
i come to bali once or twice a year after living there in the 80's and sure there are heaps more surfers than there used to be, both local and visiting, but it is still one of the most amazing places on earth.
Semoga Semua Hidup Berbahagia.

agreement
hey there i agree with the post about the boogers getting beaten up here. i don't think it happens all the time but ive seen it at keramas several times. alot of them get sent in by non locals. ive seen a one punch ko on a booger there for what i would say for no apparent reason.

BOOGER
contrary to what the above knobhead said about not booging there, as he is clearly full of shit and has prob surfed there a handful of times, I have been BODYBOARDING @ Keramis for 7 years and have never been hassled, except for the odd Indo guide and Aussies, as they think they own every wave in the world. Keramis is awesome and on any given day you find yourself surfing/bodyboarding with Taj Burrow, Ben Player, Kelly Slater, Parko etc etc. Such a good wave and boogers are very welcome
