Lower Temples Access |
| |
Its a long paddle about 3-400m from Peaks at Uluwatu, or walk along the cliffs and paddle at mid tides.Low tide doesnt work too good. Another 300m further up is 'Temples' proper. There are 2 small lefts here, between the Bombie and Temples, that only work on mid to high tides. |

Additional Surfing Infos |
| | Further up about 300m from 'Peaks' and about 100m 'The Bombie' are 2 more little lefts before you get to 'Temples', at the end of the long cliffs. These 2 lefts work from 2-4 feet, mid to high tides, both over about 50-100m, they get quite sucky, fast, and do barrel, but can also shut down suddenly. The lower one is usually better, a bit like Racetrack but without the crowds, when working. You can see it break from the cliffs at Uluwatu, but it only works on mid-higher tides and when small. When its bigger than 3-4 feet it breaks way further out, but then isnt much good.
You can get a pretty decent, long, small green barrel here without the crowds, but not too big. The wave spins like a vortex and 'slides' along the reef, propelling you through the tube when its on. It does get pretty shallow.
