Punta Rocas Access
Find the big road sign "Punta Rocas" at km46 south of Lima (on the old Panamerican Highway)... the top track takes you to the point overlooking the spot, the lower track takes you into the beach-front parking. Paying in summer - good idea to pay a 'vigilante' at anytime of year...
Paddle in from either side of the point : most frequently used is from the south side. Care here as there are often a lot of fishing lines - sometimes 'fixed' and hard to see. Also has a respectable shorebreak to get through on bigger days.

Additional Surfing Infos
This is one of the areas most consistent breaks - it works from small to big swell: only on very big swells does it close out.
The point is a classic: it breaks both ways, with the left being faster and generally shorter. However, the quality of each direction depends on the swell direction.
Have a look from the cliff top and you'll get the picture pretty fast.
  Overview
Atmosphere A really good quality wave, which can hold decent size, throwing both left and right of the rocky reef.
When the swell is small watch out for some of the less-than-submerged rocks.
A fun shore break exists right in front of the parking
General This spot was used (about 7-8 years ago) for international competition surfing - chosen due to its quality and the fact that it is so consistenly surfable.

Awesome Wave
I surfed here during September of 2005, and it was one of the best surf sessions I ever had. The waves were 8-12 feet, and super, super long. It did not close out once.

So so...
I surf Punta Rocas for 6 years. You need a lot to padle to get there if the swell is big. Be carefull with the beach break because in the last time there is a lot of sand and you can get a really dangerous barrel. Once I broke two rips because I wanted to show (obviously for the girls) how good I am...3 METERS BARREL!!! SICK!!! So, if the swell is medium is very fun but crowd, if the swell is big can get closed, but if not, you really need balls!!! If the spot is small, then go to the barrels and enjoy that!!!
