Drive along Km. 28 until you see a sign that says "Cabo Surf Villas." There are a few parking spots, usually open. There is a staircase and tunnel until the beach.
You can crash at the Cabo Surf Hotel..full rentals and lessons right there.
I have lived in Los Cabos for almost 7 years. The only time I surf Old Mans is when a girl wants me to teach her how to surf. It is a long board wave that is soft, mellow, and easy. If credibility is important, change the world class to fun wave.

February surf? Please?!?
So I'm off to some all-inclusive deal in San Jose del Cabo the last week of February, not my first choice, but it's a family thing. Clearly there's not much surf on the east side of Baja in Jan/Feb, and I won't have any wheels. Not looking for much though...just a girl learning to surf, some small friendly waves will do where I won't get in the way of locals. Maybe a friendly little bar with a cheap beer for after and good company to share it with. Any thoughts on the Costa Azul or how best (cheapest) to get elsewhere there may be a bit of a wave would be awesome...thanx and good waves!

old man's, nightlife in SJ Del Cabo?
Planning a trip there in June. So if you stay at Cabo Surf hotel in San Jose Del Cabo, are you pretty much cut off from the party scene in San Lucas? Also, how often does Old Man's get chest-high+ ?? Small surf and no crazy drunk chicks...I won't do it. Anyone have answers?

Cabo Surf Hotel
Cabo surf hotel rocks! We stayed for 4 nights a couple of weeks ago. We came in the low season so managed to get it a bit cheaper. The rooms are amazing with the best views! I´m a shortboarder from england but spent most of my time on the longboards that you can hire for US$20 a day. All of the staff were really friendly an d helpful particularly miguel the guy who hires out the boards. They hire shortboards too so you can surf the rock and zippers and you can switch boards during the day. As for acapulitos being a surf break for old men? It is a really mellow break, but who cares? its fun and there is a really good atmosphere in the water and friendly locals. Plus the rock is only a two minute paddle from the line up. I´m definitely going back to cabo surf hotel!
