- Localism
The eastern peak is a very fast right with three sections that connect when big. Can be epic with a S, SE swell and wind from the north (often the case during hurricane season).
The western peak is an a frame. Shorter but wedgier. Take your time to check out the spot from the cliff. Watch the locals paddle out using the rip and negotiating the rocks.
Atmosphere
Low key. Don't snake anyone, if you wipe out and get caught inside you could get washed up on the boulders.
General
The best spot on Long island when on. Not as crowded as turtles because it has two peaks and mellower.

ALL TRUE - When hurricane season comes!WOW just drive down the private road park right by the no parking sign,go through the no trespassing sign walk through the tick infested poison ivy path, rappel down the cliff time your out like papion, screw the 30 million dollar houses.and whats a fine or a car tow to that rare moment when the ranch is working really?or you can park at camp hero and either walk or paddle to,or boat it.and by the time you get out the wind will shift.but when its working its working gods country on Long Island.is it worth it?

How? - This was fun when I surfed it. Parked there even tho I saw people with tickets...got lucky and didn't get one.If you time it right you won't get a ticket but who knows?Or just get an invisible car
