There's two reasonable places to surf here. Sometimes small right handers peel down the sandbank just to the left of the estuary. The other spot is up the other end of the beach. The wave here breaks towards the rock groyne.
Atmosphere
Some days there is kelp everywhere.

grinders - anglesea main isnt bad but if you want a real wave go past the river and caravan park go up along the walking trail that goes though the caravan park and up along the cliffs, keep walking until you reach a little bridge jump the fence next to it and walk up to the edge of the cliff to a place called grinders, this place pumps!!!! u can also get there by walking along the beach at low tide or driving to the scout camp and walking down a dirt trail till u get to the fence u have to jump
