First - Hi all hate to be the first with such worrying news but I thought I should warn you that the pacific coast in Colombia is quite dangerous for tourists as there are alot of guerilla action in that area. Places like Cartagena and Baranquilla on the caribbean coast are some what safer for tourist. One day I hope Colombia is safe enough for everyone to surf it but that can't happen unless everywhere in the world starts helping. Dont take drugs especially Cocaine!!

Expensive Surf Trip - I went to the El Cantil web page and was surprised by the prices for accomodations (2 nights, $400.+) and boat rental ($276/day). It was really expensive. Can you stay in Nuqui and then get a local boat daily to the surf spots? Are they all in the Cabo Corrientes area. Please advise.
