The Atmosphere in the water and on the island is good. There is a very small group of friendly locals. Don't surf before the lifeguards house (forbidden in summer).

Terschelling, sometimes Bali
Terschelling has the most relaxed locals you'll find anywhere.Great hospitality and loads of fun await if you meet 'em.If the waves are Bali-like, as it was with the "Willem Bakker Classic" surfcontest (all the pictures are from that day), you'll remember it forever.Tip for warming up: "De koffiepot" in Midsland serves the best coffee on the island and the owner is a surfer too.
