This kamikaze surfing spot is very, very dangerous. You need to take some tow-in class for going there.
dont stay in the wall of the wave durring a barrell cause you will be sucked up by the wave and the concecuences can be fatal (you might died).

General
This is considered the most POWERFULL and DANGEROUS wave in brasil!! (much more than Ilha dos Lobos), the swell comes from a 230 fts(70mrts) of deep and suddenly it`s stopped by this flat rocks reef this makes a really powerfull and big wave, when the wave breals its really shallow (0,5mtrs / 1,5 feet of deep) and fast.

Not bigger than Ilhas dos Lobos... - Under very special conditions it really has the potential to be bigger than Ilhas dos Lobos (so as Tres Marias - a secret spot in the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul), but not by much and usually it's not! Plus Ilha dos Lobos wave is way more perfect (glassy wave) and massive like Teahupoo (very wide), Laje da Jagua wave is "square" and there is no tube... it might be the most dangerous, but the best and most powerful wave still is Ilha dos Lobos. BTW, the Laje stays 5km away from the shore so there is room for long waves, but 500m is bullshit! The real surfable lenght is more like 300m tops!

Gringos - Let the GRINGOS think that our waves are poor, it's better for us. This way we won't have problems with HAOLES and will keep surfing our good waves alone.

Another lie... - The swell actually comes from 30m of deep and breaks at the 1,5m rock reef
