 Additional Information

A rock outcrop helps maintain the sandbar at Coral Cove Park, except when hurricane swells dredge a trough. The main spot is in front of a white concrete structure, and when the sandbank is working, a small but shapely left point breaks off the south end. Waist- to head-high swells peel into the little cove to close out on the rock shelf inside. However, if the swell has any size at all, the left sections outside and the longshore currents become insurmountable. Despite being the area's only high-tide spot, it's fickle at best and a few mediocre spots farther south are slightly better given windswell conditions. A few guys will leave the Jupiter and Juno Beach area to surf Coral Cove at high tide, but there is no local vibe to speak of.

Atmosphere

No crowd, no locals except for a 5 ft. morea eel that lives in the South end of the park. This place goes off on big hurricane swells and can get good on east wind swell. Watch the rocks on the inside...they are shallow.

LOCALISM - Before I start, this is Florida remember? Sharks left and right.
If you are a surfer visiting a new break, you should treat the locals with respect no matter how good you are. And if you are a local and there is some non local surfing better than you, there is no reason to be mean. I used to live in FL so I know the both sides. You Floridians haven't experienced true localism till have you have been to lower trestles, a real world class wave. Until then, DONT BE A JERK UNLESS THEY DID SOMETHING WORTH FIGHTING ABOUT LIKE DROPPING IN!
