Go around the round about and go to the left, then drive strait untill you get to the main beach parking lot. Park and walk north to the next lot. Depending on drive paddle out north or south at the run out. It makes life easier.

Take off on the peak on the outside. If its bowling up close to shore dont go unless you are kamakazi or pro. It goes from 8 feet to 3 feet in like a 2 foot area. Strait up bad news if ya dont know what your doing. Its a great wave though.

Atmosphere
Frendly. Dont cut people off or snake like at most spots. Its pretty relaxed and new guys dont get hazed. The locals will more then likely envite you to the bar for drinks afterwards.

Break Dance - Yah, only the locals know how good it can get here. Get a tide watch, listen to NOAA, watch the swell reports, and know WHERE on the island to go on what swell at what tide. Also, this changes annually, so you constantly have to adjust. I have surfed 8 foot breaks on the island that made 12 foot barreling Mexico seem like a day at the park. If you know where to be, I hope you can handle dropping in vertical at the last second. The wave rolls in slow and goes square in less than half a second. Opera song to death metal is right.
