park ur car at the airport, take the walk, and surf
It only breaks good here during hurricanes but usually something to ride
The "public" beach is a pounding shorebreak and the airport beach is good
but you need atleast 3 feet for it to break on the sandbar
It is a very racy wave, almost a closeout, but fun cuz it breaks fast and then backsoff
over the trough and then about another 20 yds of surf before the shorebreak
Bring ur longboard and your fastest board
Atmosphere
About 2 surf shops, about 10 local surfers
and maybe 5-7 guys out on a good day, usually
closes out after 8 feet so everyone
goes to hatteras
General
it can be world class if u catch it right

It's not that consistent - I'm from Hatteras Village, born and raised. I know plenty about the surf that goes on down south. The surf is not that special down there, it rarely gets any better than the surf in Hatteras. And there is no way that anyone checked the surf in Frisco, saw that the wind was on-shore, went to Ocracoke and found the same wind blowing off-shore. It's impossible unless the wind switched on your ferry ride. On-shore in Frisco is either SW or SE depending on where your at... both of those winds blow sideshore down in ocracoke. But don't get me wrong I love Ocock it's a great place to go if you like to ride fairies. Let's hear one for the dirty dirty south.... SOUTHSIDE 4 LIFE
