- Rocks
I surfed the cove for about 4 years. the break is a nice right. the ride is about 10-35 yards sometimes going as far as 50 or more yards depending on conditions.
Two point breaks:
(1)the cove sandy hook)faces north east -best on south swells and s.winds.
(2) cape may is opposite point break faces south -best on nor easters, for big waves go to jenkensins(on the south side of manasuan inlet)need to check it from the waters edge-you cant see it from the boardwalk. holds any size--some days everythin is chest high and jenks is overhead.

Really great surf! - I visited the cove one time and when I was there, the surf was about 4 feet high. I don't know about you but I think those are pretty decent waves!

nicest wave in monmouth county - definitely the nicest wave in monmouth county when theres swell. too bad its also the most crowded break in new jersey, even when there isnt swell. its fuckin packed at all times. on a good day, they'll only be about 25 people out, which doesnt sound bad, but u gotta realize that its only 1 wave that comes thru.
