Try Democrat Point far down to the right when thereºs decent swell. Beeg rips around the corner into the lagoon. It can have epic wedging lefts off a jetty.

I Hear That Surfer Surfing Poem - I hear that surfer surfing.
By catching those waves
And you are also blurting.
I see you in small caves
Of the waves that roar
It doesn't even bore.
I see you at Field 5
Of Robert Moses with no hive.
I hear That surfer surfing
At Robert Moses Field 5.
And swimmers without a dive.
So if you do your part
You will have a great heart.
So forget swimmers
And rimmers.
So go and surf
I Hear That Surfer Surfing.

Surfers Ho! - This one's for the surfers!!! Fields 2-4 are
terrible surfing areas.
Robert Moses Field 5 is one of the best surfing places On Long Island.
Although, in the summer time there are swimmers from 8:00AM. until about anywhere from 5-7PM, you surfers have the evening until bedtime to surf however or whenever you please.
Another benifit you surfers have is that you have the whole Autumnal Equinox (Fall), Winter Solstice (Winter, and Vernal Equinox (Spring) to yourselves. That's enough time to train yourselves for a surfing contest or two in the summertime when you're all prepared =].
Better yet sometimes the beach is closed later than normal. So when it doesn't rain, you could go do your part and take the place of the swimmers.
I hope all the surfers go to Robert Moses Field 5 for the rest of the year and all of next year to surf. Happy Surfing.

Field 5 For Swimming and Surfing United - Field 5 is for surfers and swimmers, (I know this website is about surfing). But swimmers are allowed in Field 5. So now back to surfers, surfers are allowed west of the parking lot, while swimmers are allowed east of that. Surfers are lucky because there are waves about 3+ ft. high.
