Santa Maria Rules - Thats where i started bodyboarding 17 years ago , before the stupid ocean poll was built. There used to be a spot by the pear that was great fun to, but santa was the top, hollow rights in 50 cm of water, and the bottom is filled with sea urchins. now thinks are diferent around there whit the pool, but still is one of the most hardcore waves to surf in Cascais. Just this winter i saw two guys riping,on 2 meters waves on bodyboards from the outside, in front of the pear, to the inside shalow reef, i salute you guys and all the old school from Azarujinha,Bolina e Poça.

Locals - Respect the locals, santa maria is a local beach if you are not a local you dont want to be surfing there, because if are spoted you'll be in a big trouble, watch out for "puto gnomo(genaro bonsanto)" , if he see´s you you will not be able to surf anywere in the "linha do estoril"...so if you are not a local avoid and dont even think about surfing in DA SANTINHA
