reefs - i surf the reefs in wynyard all the time.. by far scuba is the best wave on the north coast and alot of people would agree with this.. as for the other reefs there not as long and as hollow as scuba but the still offer a nice lil barrel and workable wall on there days.. as for the bombie next time its on im out there.

Squire - To the author. All the names of the reefs r the ones i go by, seems like these names have stood the test of time. In fact a mate and i named a spot called devils chair @ east wynyard, when we where groms learning to surf, wouldn't be 50 mtr's west of scuba cntre, would it? Also my mate named Brad's place or infact it named itself (have seen this place alltime twice within 1 or 2 years & never seen it break since, although i haven't lived @ east wynyard for a longtime. As u mentioned pines is the former name of nursers. Have seen the bombie outside the river mouth break really big a couple of times, has anyone surfed it ? probably need a ski and some gonnads. Congrats on submitting this info, its been great to be able to find this. Be interested to hear back. cheers
