- Rocks
The groin is a sucky right hander on low tide...
it can get absolutely crazy when over 6 foot and on low tide.
+
You have to take off to the left of the rocks if you want to get a good ride in.
Atmosphere
I love this spot...
It's in a bay and blocked from the strong winds..
I've got my first barrel here and landed my first el rollo here....
Beware the rockwall, when it's low tide you take off from the other side.....towards main beach and surf the wave across going right and you pass the rockwall 'beware I have gone head first 5 foot on here'...
General
If you see this spot 8 foot on low tide...
which happens very rarely...
you will come back waiting for it to be like that again.

rivermouth - yea the river mouth is 10 times better then the groin. when the groin breaks all the learner surfers come out and get in the way a bit but meh u have to start somewhere. and the rivermouth isn't a tricky wave. just heavy and as close to dry as you can get. i ve taken a few 5 footers on the head there and man thats the worst pounding i ve had. and 2 all those ppl worried about sharks. well best not to surf here theres thousands of em.peace out and charge it ,,,, don't dog it!!!!!! peace out

dude - i was surfing here today and it was pretty critical on the sets. but there was only about 10 - 15 blokes out, at 4-6 ft, too bad it was closein out. sickest session of the year so far.
