Great location to find waves in all locations.
Wind sensitive all west facing beaches (from silverstrand to south Jetty) are best in the A.M. They tend to get blown out early...
Combo swells are great for peaky conditions at beachbreaks.
Long period WNW/ W swells are best for south facing beaches (C St. North and all point breaks to Santa Barbara)
Respect the locals, everyone knows what they are doing up here. Be patient, make friends. Don't back paddle, you WILL be remembered...Otherwise, enjoy!!!

Just drop in on them - This is a message to all Ventura & Nard locales: If your surfing you home break, please don't forget to burn all non-locales that don't show respect in the water. Just drop in on them.

channel islands - anybody know anything about surfing the channel islands? I wanna do an endless summer style trip out there...just get a ride on a boat then look for waves for a couple days...I think maybe you have to camp at the specific spots...anybody know the guys at truth aquatics? any info on surfing out there is appreciatedtaylorstorey@cedarville.edu
