L-Cam - The cam is going up in the summertime to view the point and beachbreak. I think you guys'll like it. Come on down to Dacane to get the details. As for boggieboarders, you're all kooks.
By Pat Bannister
Kooksters - I'd surf too. There's nothing wrong with Boggie Boarding when the swell is small. It's Better than Being a longBoader Kook like you other guys.
Glove Found - Thanks for the glove. CJ
Glove missing - Hey Fellas,If anyone found a 3mm glove at bY's give me an email. I think I left it down there this afternoon. As for the report, shoulder high sets few and far between this mourning in sports where the wind is offshore. CJ_Foote@hotmail.com
What's it like out there today??? - I can't get out and surf now, but someone give me a report for today!!!! I know its super hard SW winds but some ppl must have been on some sheltered points. Somebody fill me in.

'aboot' - It's true...Canadians do actually say words like 'aboooot', 'hoooouse' and 'geet yooour snapperrrs snooted' - very weird, but true. I lived with a few of the maple leafed suckers and they said the strangest things all the time!
surfcam - what's up with the webcam that's sposed to go up at LT.??? Anybody know bout it? And fellas, stop dissing pat. But really though Pat, if you're reading this I gotta ask, why do you ride a boogie board? I've seen you with a surfboard once or twice, isn't it more fun to stand up???
Endless bullshit - "The best waves in Nova Scotia have yet to be found anyway, if y'all weren't such lazy bastards and summertime kooks ya would be finding these waves by now."This is biggest lie I've ever heard in my life. People know where they are. Many times they don't have time to get to them when they go off. There's no need to critise the people in Nova Scotia. They're some of the nicest people in the world that's for sure.
Weak - Honestly Fellas. The swell is inconsistent out here but irregardless it does get big here. Martinique does get head high and surfable and picks up swell all the time. The swell is easily 8 feet in the winter but cold. We aren't the most consistent area but we get better swell than other areas of the coast and we have tons of spots to ourselves. In England, our reefbreaks would have 50 people on them at 6 o'clock in late August. Enjoy, quit running bullshit, and surf.
Kooks - I doubt there is any place in Nova Scotia that can hold triple overhead onshore. If you take a boat to some outter reefs where it super deep you can find a few. Aussie's are allowed in Nova Scotia. Canada is a free land and you can surf it if you want. We just know that Aussie's a super agressive surfers and don't play by the rules depending on the surfer. We just don't want what happened to New Jersey...any time a hurricane comes through there's 30 Aussie's dropping in everywhere. We're just saying they'll get knocked out if they come around and start doing that. There are tons of places to surf in Nova Scotia. This is pretty obvious given that it's a Penninsula. Some places pick up swell better than others. I'm not naming the spots but most good surfers know where to go when the surf gets good. There are a lot of big egos in the sports. Just like a lof of other individual sports people think they're the bomb if they can drop in on a 5 foot wave at LTown. Well that philosophy is pretty lame. I had a guy actually push if into the rocks at a spot last year after he almost ran into me. I chased him out of the water. On the following swell I brought a huge kook out with me that was tough as nails and told him to drop in on him as much as possible. After the guy freaked "Timmy the Tank" broke his shitty longboard over his head. We all dislike people (like those learner longboarder kooks) that drop in on us. but everyone has to learn and we should just be cool about letting people know what the deal is. Simpley put!
