andalucia , great waves - sick waves i had in andalucia, stayed at the surf lodge safari, cadiz. you get a surf trip a day which included in the price. to the best beaches, el palmar, roche, canos de meca , normally for 4-5 hours. steve took us to many of the best breaks. after we all had enough we went back to the villa, if you still had enough energy we just went to the local beach which i was surprised to find great waves with only a few guys.

evening we went into the town, el pueto de santa maria, riddled with traditional spanish bars and pubs, serving great food and open to the early hours. check it out

South Spain and morocco - Hello there
travelled to Algerciras then Tangier and through Maroc a few years ago . The water is cold so you should take a light suit ora full one . Waves were quite fickle when we were there and travelling with a board on those mad buses could result in plentsch damage and end in tears when the good surf comes in . Awesome country though , cheap and Essouaria is cool . Its quite dry too so you may wish to stock up your quota at duty free .
have a good time and inshallah may the waves come your way .

Warning for flying with boards - just a word of warning for those flying to or from Spain with Iberia Airlines (national airline and One World partners with British Airways et al) and hoping to take surfboards: coming back from a recent trip to Spain Iberia tried to charge me €260 excess to fly one surfboard back to the UK!!!!!!!!!!! despite this being more than the ticket itself they were not willing to budge. this is the most horrendous sur-charge i've ever heard of for boards. i ended up flying it back with a friend with a low cost airline for €15 for the same journey (that's a difference of €245 for the same service). Iberia also lost my bag (and have done every single time i've travelled with them). my advice- don't travel with Iberia. ever.

housing i spain, surfschools - Hi, We are two families that are planning spending the summer 2006 in northern Spain for surfing.
We would like to rent a house. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are also looking for good surfschools. Our children are 11-16 years old and they want to learn how to surf.
